Gadget to support tires while inserting axle

I just finished mounting both tires on my bike with a regular lift that fits under the frame. It was very time consuming, lower the lift , check the tire for clearance , lower the lift , check the tires for clearnce and after 2 hrs I finally got the holes aligned so I could insert the axle. Since this was my first time doing this I took my time.

What I am looking for is a gaget that will allow me to lift only my tires up or down, slowly and independent of my regular jack . Is there such a thing or do I have to create one myself.

I use my both feet. A small flat scissor jack from an import would do the job.

There is such a gizmo but I believe it is expensive. It is a screw jack on a long extended arm that held the tire while you screwed it up and aligned it. Very neat looking gizmo.

Also when I do my tires I use a dummy axle that is the same width as all the spacers and the hub. This keeps everthing in place.
