Fuel System Problem

Sometime it is cheaper to just buy new. Good luck and let us know what you find.
OK. Guess I should have just replaced the pump, filter and regulator in one fell swoop.

I went to my favorite indy that let me scrounge through junk and I found both ends of the quick connect. That, a t-fitting and a gauge and I have a fuel pressure test rig. Original regulator was putting out about 58PSI and fluctuated a bit. Actually quite a bit. New regulator puts out a solid, steady 66PSI. Runs just like she should now.

I think if you are breaking into the tank to do stuff, you should just replace the whole wad. That way you eliminate all that stuff that is not that easy to get to in one fell swoop. Having to go in and out repeatedly introduces more chances to break something anyway. However, if you get the stuff out and the problem is obvious, then just replacing that can be lower cost. But if not, do it all and do it once.

Cheers,

TQ
