Just installed a new fuel filter on my 2006 flhtci and put the unit back in the tank, the conopy is not down on the tank there is an 1/8" gap between canopy and the tank on the sending unit side. The fuel pump seems to be hitting the bottom of the tank. I don't want to force it down.
I replaced the filter about four years ago and do not recall having this problem.
What to do now?
