Fuel Pump Noise

I'm riding in the Smokey Mountains with a friend that has a fatboy. When he
turns it on the fuel pump makes a squalling sound vs. a nice low hum. He had a power commander put on the bike awhile back. He rode home in the rain when he got it. When he started it up the next time it ran rough. He took it back they redynoed it and gave it back to him. Now the squeal has started. What do you guys think. It's a 2008 by the way. Anyone have any ideas about the squeaking of the pump on startup. Once started it seems to run OK but he is worried about getting stuck in the mountains, Thanks in advance for any help.

Mine actually did that for a while. Every 1/2 dozen starts it would make a "bearing noise". I added some Staybil and Seafoam as a lube and it has not come back. That was 3-4 months ago.

One ounce of Marvel Mystery Oil per full tank can't hurt either.
Quieted down fuel pump in wife's Lumina, I know its a car, but fuel pump still in tank.
wilks3

Treating rate on the can is 4 oz./10 gallons of gasoline. So I add 2 oz. everytime I fill it.
