I want to replace my gauges on my 2002 FLTR with the new silver faced gauges.
Will the fuel gauge from a 2004 ultra work? Seems the fuel gauge is the only one not working. By the way 2004 and up Tach and Speedo won't work either on the 2002 models
 
The 04 and up use a serial bus connection on the gauges and are different than the earlier models which means that very few if any of the newer gauges will fit and work on the older bikes. Check with the dealer, I believe they have a crossover harness to make this swap work.
 
I replaced all 4 gauges and the fuel gauges is the only one giving me trouble.
is it something in the gauge making it not work. what is this serial bus you are talking about. All the grnd wires according to the wiring diagram are connected
