There is a CO. in Phoenix called bitchinbaggers.com that sells an adapter to compensate for this. I am guessing that you did not buy the bike new, and the previous owners probably lowered it a bit. The adapter moves the fender so this won't happen. If the bike was not lowered, then this might work, but not sure. Good luck to you. You can also fabricate a small bracket to reposition the regulator slightly higher. I did that on my son's Dyna... worked great.
