Can anyone help here, just ordering a new hose for my front brake on a softail standard 1999,.am I correct in saying the banjo at the caliper
is 3/8 and the one at the master cylinder is 7/16 ?

The banjo's are 12mm at the master cylinder, and 10mm at the caliper. And
7/16"x 24 thread bolt, fits the 12mm banjo at the master cyl.and 3/8"x24 bolt fits the 10mm banjo at the caliper.

41739-84A = 7/16" master cylinder banjo bolt
41747-82A = 3/8" calliper banjo bolt

Hi Pete, just to clarify, I see advertised a Banjo as 7/16th (11mm) presuming this is too small, and it has to be the 12mm one?
cheers

I REALLY don't want to steer you wrong, so don't take my thinking to the bank. I have never measured my fittings or banjo's. I just installed what I bought, and they were correct (lucky me). My thinking is: If 11mm = 7/16" , a 7/16" bolt won't fit thru an 11mm banjo, plus it needs 1mm clearance for fluid to flow. Just thinking SAE and MM at the same time makes my head hurt. The att. link has a chart further down the page that may help you. Do keep us posted with your results, and maybe I will remember to write it down for next time.
