How much trouble and cost is it to change to forward controls on an 883 low?
The directions say to remove the exhaust. With a little finagleing it can be done without removing the exhaust. You need a set of Torx bits and ball end allen wrenchs. It will take a couple hours. The worst is getting the old mid controls off.
Why not leave the mid floorboards or peg setup, just more the forward controls to factory bracket...especially if you already have all the stuff, just cap or sleeve the area of the shifter, if it was to keep every thing stock (you will need the old pipes for EPA, State) mandated compliance rules in the near future.
