forward control brake link rod-98 FXDL

my local dealership was having the hardest time locating a brake link rod for a 1998 low rider forward controls. its coming on the slow boat from Lancaster,PA so i guess i will relax but does anyone know if this part is particularly hard to find?

are there substitutes? or is this a special type of link rod?

or is it a case of an older evo part is just harder to find

This brake rod fits multiple years (93-02) of Dynas with forwards and should not be a hard to find item.
