FLHTC Electra glide classic questions

Hello there.

I am a new register and i appologize if this is the wrong thread to ask this question ( i will be happy to move it if it is)

I have a 2008 Black FLHTC Electra glide classic
(oh dear lord the dust that collects on that)

Now the question i have is i want to purchase a set of Vance & Hines: Performance pipes for my bike along with a new K & n air cleaner. now i was told that the dealer had to make changes to the computer to allow for the new pipes ( something called mapping? :dknow )

anyone have a guestimate how much it will cost ?

It usually runs about $150.

I would suggest the TFI and you can change the settings yourself.

Sometimes the black ones are too fast for it!! As everyone knows...black is the fastest color.

Thanks for the info guys, and the info on the multi surface pledge

Use the new Pledge Multi Surface, it's amazing.

Will ANY pledge work or just milti surface pledge?

Now do i spray it on directly, or do i spray it on the cloth then wipe ?

Do you wax the bike first before applying hte pledge?

Can it be used on the fiberglass, chrome, and the dash of the batwing ?

and ..

if you put on the muffler and the K & F airfilter or what ever type of after market performance muffler.

can you drive it to the dealer without damaging the bike & Will the dealer remap it ?

how much would something like that cost ?
(i only ask because the dealer in my area is closed atm)
