First oil change?

    Ok then....thanks to everyone for your last info. Now 1 more question. Mobile 1 v-twin is what I will be using. But how long should I wait. I have been told that the engine should have "break in time" before going to synthetic. Rings need to seat and that running syn. oil to soon will keep the rings from seating.

    With the way the enignes are built now i would say first oil change is fine ... but thats me

    Don't wait, do it now! If your bike has over 100 miles on it, I'm willing to bet it's 90% or so broken in already. But then, I'm no engineer AND I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, either!

    I've heard here that Syn3 is not a true synthetic, but then I see this.

    "SYN3 is a full synthetic lubricant. It is the general practice in the industry that a "True Synthetic" is formulated with Group IV Polyaplhaolefin (PAO) basestocks. SYN3 is formulated with PAO basestocks and is a "True-Synthetic"

    This is confusing! Please explain this.

    Make sure you use the correct oil pan plug when draining:
