Faring Brackets Breaking

I have had a bunch of guy's stop by complaining that their faring was shaking.
The problem is the cheap stamped brackets that HD is using. This seem to be a real common problem. They break at the top where the tab is bent 90 degrees. What I did, and it seems to work well was to put a small bead of weld to box it in. It will never break again. At least not there.

I am taking my 03 FLHT apart for paint and I noticed one of my brackets were broken at the bend. My idea is the same, to weld it up and put some weld on the other one before it breaks.
