EZ-Pass

I've been using one since 2002. It's so much easier than digging for change/money at every toll booth. I've included two pictures showing the locations I've used to mount it (I have the smaller black module).

This position looks the best, but would sometimes fail on the smaller bridge tolls.

This position works all the time.

MAX size for images is 800 X 600 Feel free to repost.

when it fails, how do you resolve it with toll company? In Washington State, the State Patrol automatically sends you a $75.00 ticket for running toll.

In DC area we don't have that problem. The gate doesn't open till you pay your toll (Constant speed through gate at 40 is the pro OP). I don't even mount mine on the bike. Mostly I have it in the cage but if I ride the bike to work, I stick it in my winshield bag and the ez-pass gets read.

In NJ, they also have photographed your license plate number and just take it off your account. I know several guys who don't even carry a module on their bike. Several years ago, I received a letter informing me that I didn't pay a toll in Massachusetts and owed a fine. I photo copied my EZ Pass statement showing that the toll before and after that toll had registered. They rescinded the fine and just put the toll on my account. I've had no problems since.

I'm going to get one this week because when you go thru a toll on a PGR ride it's sometimes awkward to pay the toll. Some don't and just ride thru the EZpass gate, I have wondered if they got tickets.

Those longer rides to cemetary or escorts (that are not police escorted) are the ones that you need them. I've never been on a toll road when police escorted so don't know how that would work.

If you are going through gates, don't follow to close to vehicle in front of you, or it may not pick you up correctly. I had to go arround a gate because my riding buddy was going, gone and no attendent was in sight.

Here in Florida if you have a sunpass just have to add the bike tag to your account and thats all you need.

thanks guys for the info

could not see the pictures I would like to see them David

I originally posted pics that were too big, and they were removed.
I've now corrected my mistake.
