While discussing possible remedies for a problem with my 2014 Infotainment unit, the subject of a hard reset was raised. That led to me to ask if the tech would do a backup of my address and routes. I was told that it is my responsibility to do this.
I searched the on-line tutorial (Boom! USA) but could not find any information so I created my own.
The only thing I thought of (after posting) is that I failed to mention USB format or size of flash drive. Every small flash drive I have ever seen is formatted FAT32 and this is what you want. If you need to purchase one, get an 8gb as it is very inexpensive and just the right size to hold software updates.
