Exhaust Sound

I am at bike week and I hear certain bikes when shifting gears it sounds like the bike is sucking air back in. I think its called reverb but I could be wrong. Why does the bikes make this sound. I kind of like it . My wife has vance and hines shorties on her 07 softail can I get this sound for her bike.

If the sound you like sounds like someone sitting on a whoopie cushion, I'll guess they are straight pipes with no baffles.

I agree with Breeze, sounds to me like baffle-less exhaust. You may like the sound but may not care for the performance IMO.

Lack there of performance, some equate loud with more power, in alot of cases this is not so
