I have a 2k8 Heritage with V&H Softail Duals. I like the look but not the sound. I am looking to put a set of 203 cams in it with the new Rinehart Cross-Back exhaust. My question is should I leave the baffles in? HD strongly recommends me to leave them in. However they talked me into that with my V&H and I don’t like the sound unless I am really on the throttle. My buddy has a 2k3 Heritage with 203 cams and V&H Longshots. It sounds AWESOME. It has a deep deep throaty idle and you can almost feel it when it revs. I am looking for that sound in my setup. I know I will lose some backpressure and HP but will I make some of it up with the cams? Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

Find a set of mufflers that you like the sound of but keep the baffles in them. Even with the cam, it still will not run good.
