exhaust nut size

    Dealer installed my hooker pipes went to hoop on the bike today and found that my two rear nuts were gone what size are they

    Don’t have the right size in my junk draw Help please

    these are the ones rite off the head studs look like 1/2 fine thread

    I don't know the size but I think they are a metric thread.

    5/16 X24. Sorry about giving you the metric. Just checked my parts book.

    thanks save from wasteing time in the morning lock nut this time four new ones

    i would not use the nylon insert lock nut

    infact i would not use lock nuts at all

    I imagine that a nylock nut would melt. If factory doesn't use a lock nut it probably is not required. Tech most likely forgot to tighten the nuts.
