Thought i would remove my after market pipes on my 2007 FXDC for a while and stick my standards back on,when i put my standard pipes back on i noticed the baffle bores are both different on both standard pipes,so i place the smaller bore baffle pipe on the rear cylinder and the larger bore baffle on the front cylinder, just wondering is this the correct way round.

Check for bluing at the muffler inlet, the one with bluing will be the front cylinder

Thanks all for your help and ideas.
My local HD couldnt be of any help.
It only the two end pipes im refitting and not the whole system, plus i have no bluing on my pipes.
Its just the pipe ends with the baffle in them have different bores of baffles and not sure which ones go where.
Cheers

Here's an easy way to solve the problem.

Post the part numbers on the two mufflers here and you'll know for sure which is front and which is rear after you post them.

Thanks all for your help and ideas.
My panic is over, its the large bore baffle to the rear cylinder.
Thats me now ready for Europe on mONDAY.
