Hallo friends.
I have a new problem with my EVO 1340 with chain (no belt).
I have to match my front sprocket with my rear sprocket (51 teeth).
How many teeth is the most universal sollution (22,23,24) ?
That would depend on what you are trying to achieve. If you want lower RPM's at Hi-way speeds, then yes it's your best bet. If you want quicker take offs and less top end then go with the 22/51.
I use to run a 24/48 combo on my old shovel and was very happy. At 70 mph. it ran around 3k rpms. My '96 dresser with a 5 sp. did about the same. The tranny for the shovel was a 4 sp. but had a little taller gears in it from Andrews. Kinda like a long legged race horse.
