I think your '16 has the CANBus (HDLan). So you CAN install the V&H FP3. I had that on my '11 Heritage Softail Classic and loved it. Very simple to use and flash the ECU with maps downloaded to the FP3 from the V&H database based on your configuration. Uses Bluetooth to connect your smart phone to the bike. Once you have flashed the ECU, you can remove the FP3, or leave it installed for the variety of sensor monitors available through the FP3 to your phone. It also has a learn mode to see how you ride the bike. That can then be uploaded to V&H for input from their Tech Guys.
