Engine Click

Anyone out there had a problem where you hear a click coming from the left side of the engine? When I first start my Deuce up I get this clicking sound. I have been unsuccessful in locating the origin. It's not a constant clicking. Any help would be great.

May be time to check the primary chain tension. Possible it needs an adjustment.

It is possible that the compensating sprocket nut is loosed.
