EFI to Carb Tank Conversion Question

I have fuel injection tank I am putting on my bike that has a carb. I already have the pingle adapter on order, but here's a question. The new tank has the gas filler tube attached to the fuel pump and sending unit. Anyone know how to get around that? Can I just pull the fuel pump or does someone offer a tank canopy with a filler tube for a non fuel injected tank?
 
Gotta ask. Why are you putting tank from and EFI bike on a carbed bike? Much easier to install the right tank.o_O
 
What bike are you putting the FI tank on? The FI tank is what model? You could pull the pump Assembly out
and leave the filler neck. That's looking at a FLHTCU tank set up. RK,Dynas & Softails tank are different,fills from side.

I think I would just take everything off the top plate then put the top plate back on.
Item # 19 is the top plate.
