Dunlop cracking?

Replaced the Dunlops (D401 frt, K591 rear..DOT numbers showed 4 months (frt)and 2 months (rear) old when installed) on my 07 Low Rider last week. Got only 3400 miles on em. They were all cracked. Looked like they were 20 years old. Never had a tire do this in the past. My ride has 50k on it and I have run Dunlops and other brands almost bald before with no problems. These tires were run hard in the deserts of AZ & CA.
Well I was at the Harley shop yesterday and mentioned it to them. They said Dunlop had a bad bunch of tires come out of the factory.
Anybody hear anything about this????
Got a good deal on some Bridgestones. Had good luck with them on another bike.

The dealer maybe talking about the recalled dunlop on the newer bikes.

Contact Dunlop. Their tires are factory warranted for 4 years excluding wear. I had mine replaced 3 times on my 11 RG by Dunlop at the HD store due to cracks. Below is a copy of the e-mail I received from consumer affairs

Good morning Joe,
Thank you for taking the time to contact Dunlop Motorcycle Tires.
We are very sorry to hear you are having an issue with a Dunlop tire.

The warranty covers cracking for four years, from the date of manufacture,
or until the tire is worn out.
Please contact the dealer of purchase for an evaluation of the tire in
question.
The dealer does have the ability to adjust when a warrantable condition
exists.

Thanks, I'll handle it with the dealer.
