Drum and Bugle Corp.

Has anyone other than myself participated in a Drum and Bugle Corp as a youngster?

A guy I worked with years ago talked about the 'corp' after he found out I had been in the military. Well his corp was the drum corp and I though he was talking about the marines.:rofl

I spent a few years on a drill team with flag, rifle, and drum sections back in the mid 70's. We competed a little locally, spent a lot of time in parades. I used to toss a rifle around with the best of them but don't think it would be that easy today. Then I spent a little time playing tri-toms in the drum section. It was a lot of fun. I remember visiting Cambridge MA to watch the big teams compete, the team that comes to mind is the Madison Scouts. Are they still around?

Yes, the Madison Scouts are still performing they finished in 10th place in the DCI World Championships World Class Finals Saturday, August 14, 2010 Indianapolis, IN.
