Driving light rewire

I want to rewire the driving lights on my 09 FLSTC so that they will work when the headlights are on bright. With todays advanced electronics, I do not want to simply rewire it like I am working on a "77" F250. Will I need a relay to adapt into the system?

This has been discussed before. Here's a link to a thread in the self-help section showing a typical wiring diagram. You shouldn't need any relay to do the job.
