Drilling Holes in Baffle

I have a 2014 Harley Limited and am looking for a perfect (in my mind) sound. When I purchase the bike almost immediately I bought some 4.50 high output mufflers. I like the sound but after a while the very deep rumble drove me crazy. I went back to the stock muffler. to quiet. A couple of friends drilled some holes in the baffles. I liked the idea, the bike had a nice sound, Is there a down side where I could be ruining the bike by doing this. I did get some new pipes to remove the catalectic converter. I did get the stage 1 download from the dealer. Thanks for any input

Ruin bike,, no you won't. You probably won't gain any performance either. In my opinion, some of the better sounding bikes to me, had drilled baffles. Be aware, some baffle systems use plugs which can be drilled, others use a cut/angle pipe to divert the flow. That angle is near impossible to get a drill to bite.
