Does SE 257 Cam setup require any headwork?

Hi. Bought a set of 95" jugs, pistons, and SE 257 cams from a friend when he redid his engine to a monster. If i use these cams will I require any head work? I see in the Harley book that they show HI Perf heads when using those cams? My friend can't remember if they did head work as he doesn't do his own. I plan on doing it myself so want to make sure what I'm putting in is going to work. I realize that porting/polishing is logical while it's apart but what about springs etc? Should I just got to the SE 203 cams? Thanks :s

Yes.At least a set of springs and set up for TDC lift. The 257 cams would be happy with some compression too.The SE hi-po heads are nice and a bolt in install for that cam.

Thanks Fisher. I suspected that they might. Figured to at least port and polish anyways. Think I will maybe talk to BadBoyz and see what they recommend with this setup. Thanks again.
