deep rumble sounding pipes, not necessarily loud

I put V and H ovals (not Monster ovals) on my 2010 Rk Classic and I love the sound. Definitely rumbly and aggressive sounding especially when you twist the throttle. they are cheaper than the Monster Ovals and have a great sound. I too did not want to raise the decibel level much but did want to change the sound. No regrets.
