If I have the local Harley shop due a stage 1 upgraded on my 04 RK will they have to set my fuel air mixture to the current lean smog requirements, and therefore cause my engine to run hotter?

The HD download will return it to the factory lean condition, lean is hot.

Very easy to do it yourself and use a TFI to set the mixture.

+1 on the TFI.It will run cooler with the stage 1.Beyond that, you can add an oil cooler to help even more with the heat.
