Okay, TimeSert saves the day. I know it's been a few days since last post but life happens. I really want to thank you guys for your help and advice, we're back on the road and all is well. The TimeSert kit was the way to go, even with the worry of getting a straight cut (even with my home-made guide) it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, inserts went in just like it was designed to and replacing studs, head bolts seems to have cured my ills. Once again thanks for all your help.
