CV Jet Sizes?

Does anyone know what the original jet sizes were on the factory installed CV carbs. I have a CV off of a 1996 Evo and I think the jets might have been changed by the previous owner. The jets that are in it know are a #45 and #170. Are these the fatory jets?

The 170 could be factory but the 45 is questionable but where it should be in any event. Any cold drivability problems, go to a #46

the jet sizes seem to change from year to year
generally getting smaller as time goes on in an attempt to reduce emissions
in 1991 evo softail had 185 main and a 45 slow jet
but by 1992 had changed to 165 main and 42 slow
however the 92 dyna had a 170 main and a 40 slow but that may have only been for the international model

so almost anything from a 160 (california) to a 185 main jet and 40 to 45 slow jet could have been fitted at the factory depends on the year and the destination of the bike
only way to be sure is consult the service manual for that model but the jet sizes you have fit in with factory sizes

The jet sizes for any bike will be listed on the first page of the carb section of the factory manual for that particular bike.
