    guys is the comp nut on a 1998 road king right hand or left? My manual said to tighten the nut turn it counter clockwise which would be a left hand thread. I read some where on the site that it is right hand thread can someone chime in and let me know?
    Thanks

    Your compensator nut is NOT a left hand thread, it is standard. Clockwise to tighten, counter-clockwise to loosen. AND DO NOT USE AN IMPACT WRENCH!! The clutch basket nut is a left hand thread.

    Would that be the same on a 96 sporty 1200 ?
    compensator nut standard (counter clockwise to loosen}
    Clutch basket left hand (clockwise to loosen)
