:devilso im looking at replaceing my compensating sprocket and i see some that are 24 teeth and some are 25 teeth exc... , anyone know what might be on my 89 fxsts, evo motor, And any thoghts on going down a tooth or two in the front, like people do with the sports bikes. down in the front and up in the rear to gain a torque advantage..? any advice? good?? bad??

i would think you need 40269-85a think it is a 24 tooth
25 tooth is 40308-94 and correct one for 94 on

Hope that helps
