Code P0562 with 13.4 volts

While cruising , check engine and battery warning lights come on. Volts drop down from approx. 15 to 12. Continuing to drive corrects itself : warning lights extinguish and volts come back up to about 15. This happened 3 times today.Shows DTC code P0562 although battery shows 13.4 volts.
P0562 is Battery Voltage Low EFI.
Anybody any ideas? Thanks.

pull off your derby cover and check for a burnt smell in the primary. Check your connections on your battery and make sure they're tight and clean.

Check the plugs in the charging system harness around the regulator.

Checked stator for ground and open, OK. Checked voltage output, OK. Checked ground wires, all OK. Checked voltage regulator, No good. Replaced voltage regulator. Charging system OK. No more codes. Riding again.

Hey chief, just started having same issue with my 06 flstc 20,000 miles. battery and check engine light, code 0562 will start troubleshooting soon. i will be back for advice, would appreciate any input.....
