Clutch sound

I have a HD Sportster 1200 Custom, year 2009, 21,500 km done. Just changed the lub and primary oil, less than 2,000 km. There are two issues here.

1. There is a grinding sound from the cover as the clutch grip is released when changing into gear.

2. The engine crank to start immediately as the key switch is turn on.

Please HELP

Do you have a shop manual????
And can you explain the instant start a bit more???

Are you saying that you don't have to press the start button to have the starter engage?

First things first, have a look at your front engine sprocket, have you adjusted the clutch recently?

I had the battery charged and the instant starting up as in crankling to a start has stopped. But the low growl (happened when the clutch is released in gear shift) seems to have gone too, but only after a few more growls.

I have not adjusted the clutch yet. I will do that this week end and thanks.

Yes, it starts as soon as the 'on' button is pressed.

Your starter is staying engaged.Explains why the starter was cranking when you turned the key on. The solenoid was closed.
