Update on my clutch issues. I checked the cable as best I could and it seemed OK, so I fabricated a clutch spring tool and disassembled the clutch. All but 3 of the little brass rivets had come loose on the center spring and caused the problem. Fortunately the clutch hub was not damaged and I will be replacing the plates, friction discs and the center spring. Thanks again for all your help

Since you're still working on the clutch issue, can we assume that Santa didn't come through with the new sled???
