Clutch cable rubbing

Changing bars out and after I got the exhaust off and was removing the stock clutch cable, I noticed where it had rubbed a noticeable spot on the side of the case. Anyone else experience this and how did you prevent it from further happening?

Cut a 2"-4" piece of old fuel line, slit it length wise and slip it over the cable. Secure with tie wraps.

As Breeze said above, or use the tie wraps to secure the cable to the frame or something to keep it away from the softer aluminium case. This problem does not happen with clutch release cables that have the plastic sheath.

Cheers,

TQ

The Barnett that I recently put on mine has a corrugated piece on the cable that runs from the brake light switch and past the cam chest. A piece of fuel line is a good idea too.
