clicking prob

i have a 05 xl1200c screamin eagle yesterday after a ride i restarted and just as i pushed starter button one loud metalic clik was heard as it started ,only happens when first hit start button then once started it runs fine other than clutch spring getting weak.

hi had the same problem on my 05 1200custom,it turned out to be the neg lead from the battery to the earth stud,the previous owner had wired something on there.due to the rain ect it corroded a bit of wire which finally dropped out and left the lead loose,stripped down cleaned it all up and no probs since
