Charging problem. Help!!

Question? I have a 96 Dyna lowrider and changed out the VR because I was having charging problems, but I'am still only getting about 13 amps when I check with my VM, would the headlight and tail lite being on all the time bring my amps down to where I can't get the required voltage of 14.3-14.7 at 3600 rpms. Thanks

You say amps. do you mean voltage? They are two very different things. Check out Jacks link and get back to us.
