Changing Oil

If you knew how much residual oil was left in an engine after it was turned off, or how much oil is really supplied to some parts of the engine you'd probably be really surprised and you might have a different opinion, but ignorance is bliss. It's not like he was riding it downtown to get a 6-pack.

You sure dont want to do this on newer bikes or old Iron with Aluminum oil pump bodies They are not very forgiving when there is no oil to pump through the gears

opinions are just that - opinions. You have yours and others have theirs. Besides Its your scoot , your choice. Lets not turn this into another "oil argument"!

I run amsoil synthetic & still would never try that idle run after draining majority of oil . The gain of draining litl more oil out is not worth the risk .There is a oil pump but i never have used one .
