changing location of battery on 91 FLHS

I'm thinking about moving my battery. I would like to put it under the seat like the later models. I would like to use the current style bags. For more room and Stretched bags. I know my oil tank is on the side. I have the room for a battery there, with a little Modification. On softtails the battery is rapped with the oil tank.

Has anyone done this or seen this done on the earlyer baggers?

I just mounted a car horn in the same area. Were you going to move the battery box or buy another one to try it out ? You just to have to make sure its mounted real secure since the belt and rear wheel are below it. Good luck with it - Bob

I was going to reuse the stock box and Modif it to fit. Was looking at Bir Boar batties and they are smaller.
