changing exhaust

    I know this might be a tiring thread to read again.. but if im putting on HD se slip-ons will i need to think about fuel management? everything is stock. Thx for the help/info.

    Pipes only = good to go & you can tweak your 05 carb a bit to adjust (touch of fuel), if necessary. Won't know until you test run & see if it's even necessary.

    Make sure you seal header/pipe joint well & recommend getting new pipe clamps. Dab of High-Temp silicone (liquid copper) will do the trick - have fun!

    K sweet i appreciate it guys hopefully it wont be a big pain, just needa buy the new clamps, sealant, n high temp stuff thx again

    Using the term "fuel management" really applies to EFI. Is that what you have?

    Sportster did not get efi till 07 so should be carb

    ya its carb, when i put the slip-ons on, if anything ill just mess around with the carb screw adjuster.
