I have been told there are catalytic converters in the Softail Custom since 2008. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

The magic word is CALIF.
CARB is a group that I dislike, they get Tax $$$ to regulate our lives, One being Green... Too many regulations and costing a lot of Jobs....
I would think All Bikes in calif. have to Have cats...
I may be wrong but to the best of My knowledge! Yes.

2008 fxstc ive got em,well to be honest ive got them under my bed though i swor i wouild not go louder like most folk but sold out to stage 1 with khrome werks slipons,
with baffels lovely sound when on the gas but not offensive.

Maybe NEWHD can answer this better it seems to me even the EVO motors suffered in California because of carb, no offense to anyone in california. The cam profiles were very bad on these engines and remember alot of these bikes could be had cheap but the motors were very restricted:s

I am sure somebody from MOCO, figured that if they added the CATS at their expense, that would lead to more profits, from selling the tuners, exhaust..to us buyers...
