Cat removed

I have a similar question about using 09 head pipes on my 2010 road king. I just added a Dobeck tfi and to use that we unplug the o2 sensors, so then can't I use the older head pipes and just plug the o2 holes?

That is what I did and plugged the O2 sensor holes.

09 have the cats in the slip ons.

Do I understand this properly. You are using a TFI at the same time a Cat is still installed in the exhaust system.?

yes- cat is still installed. but the o2's are disconnected.

the o2 sensors are in a different spot on the 09 and different sizes than on the 2010

Good to know - this is how we learn. I wondered if & what changed from 09 to 10. So there's two options; 1) Stick w/10 header & gut & 2) Get 09 header, plug O2 ports & install tuner. For my 09 FLHX - I elected to plug O2 port when I installed the TFI - works well w/no hanging wires. Of course I'll have to reverse everything if I decide to remove the tuner - not in my near-term plans. Cheers!

Or you can unplug the connectors under the right side panel...it works too.
