I noticed that I had a few spots of carbon (black dusty) on the jugs where they meet the block, but only on the shifter side. Cleaned off fairly easily, but it gives me concern. ( edit out mistake :)) Any thoughts?

    Thanks, Ken

Head gaskets where the jugs meet the block?

It sounds like the jugs are mounted upside down.:D

Where the jugs meet the block. Not the heads, sorry. I should be saying around the base gasket per the service manual.

    Should I be concerned?
