Here's another idea you might be able to try. You said you have two carbs, but one has a broken float holder. Can you use the bottom half of the new one, with the top half of the old one??? Just a thought. :D

Unfortunately, it is the top half that has the broken float holder. If it were reversed, I would riding, not bugging you guys. All the wrong things are on either half of each carb. It's a pain. And thanks, Glider, for the info on the washer experiment. That makes more sense. I wasnt really aware of the role each part of the carb plays at certain rpm's.
