The oil debate has been going on for a long time, simply because there are so many factors involved (price, quallity, reputation, word of mouth, etc.....)
I recently switched to Amsoil for my bike, and I must say, I really like it. When I listen to the engine, it sounds more "vibrant" (EDIT) than before (not that it didn't sound great before, mind you)......ultimately, it is a personal decision, but my advice is to do your homework, and get as much info as you can.
