cam needle bearings

Got a qiuck question, I'm changing my cam needle bearing and I need to know when they are installed correctlty, should the numbers that are on the bearings face out? and how far do I push them in? looks like to me that they could go in father then flush with the case. Thanks

You always press on the number side of any bearing, and the tool usually presses it to proper depth. here's some more info.

I STRONGLY suggest using an appropriate installation tool for these bearings (please use the Torrington bearings) rather than something make-shift. You can get the tool from HD, Jims or George's Garage. For the latter, see here:
