break in procedure?

Yes, fresh out of the crate . It's the best time to seat the rings properly.

We hit 60 degrees today and no Smitty I didn't her out of my garage!!

We need a few good rainstorms to wash the salt away.

Can't wait for that first ride....

Thanks for the info glider! Just bought my first NEW Harley. Service manager, during his running through the bike routine, basically only touched on the varying the rpm's during the first 50 (not above 3500) and 500 (not above 4000). Fortunately I remembered something my dad told me years ago on the way home from buying a new car which was "the way you want to drive it a year from now is how you should drive it off the showroom floor". Needless to say he drove home like he was trying for the Pole Position and to that little cars credit, it ran like a beast some 15 years later when he gave it to me. One last question...during the break-in period, would you suggest a longer, shorter or normal engine warm up before riding? Thanks!
