Brake Squeal

Back to the Squeal, that was one of the things about my new EBC pads that surprised me was how there wasn't that gritty sound or feel. I had .040 left but was worn a bit uneven. Wondering what brand our OP used on his install.?

Lyndall Z-Plus. I've cleaned, re-greased and ran a file across them to take off the raised outer edge. I didn't chamfer the leading edge though. I'll try that before I call Lyndall or buy another set of another brand.

Well here's an update. After trying everything I read here and talking to some other people I finally said no more. I bought a set of EBC Double H pads. chamfered the edges, cleaned the rotors, calipers and re-applied some brake anti-squeal.........after 300 miles, no squeal.

Never had problems out of Lyndall pads in the past. Maybe they changed the material composition of their pads. I don't know.
